How Shoes!

The Original (possibly one an only?) "How" Shoe! Inspired by my silliest knowledge gap, where in my mid-20's I was walking through a department store and saw a sign for "House Shoes". I had only ever heard it spoken, never seen it written, and always heard "How shoes" instead of "House shoes". Don't ask me why they were called How Shoes, I don't make the rules. I wonder how many other misconceptions like this I have floating around, waiting to make me feel dumb.
